THE

ELECTION

During the American Election, I was mentally struggling, lacking in creativity, and worried about the state of the world, I was looking to the election as a sliver of hope.

I had trusted that people were finally starting to see that we should be supporting each other, fighting for women's rights, standing for equality and peace.

so when the election results came, to keep it blunt, I was shattered. To hear that people didn't vote for someone simply because they were a woman and of colour, I just couldn't handle it. I had ran away to Nelson BC, turned off my phone, and cried for days. It got to the point in which I felt like a dead corpse that had washed up on the shore.
